Our Essential belt range uses up our belly edge leathers and any odd strips or ones that might have picked up, for example, a mark or scratch in the workshop. Belts that we wouldn’t put out as our first grade work

Still made entirely by hand in the Devon workshop of a National Award winning craftsman and still lovingly hand sewn at 8 stitches to the inch

Belt – Essential Classic in Australian Nut and Brown by The Belt Makers

• Leather: Australian Nut coloured S2 English Bridle Butt
• Detail: Brown, hand coloured and polished, edge on the strap and keepers.
  Yellow coloured linen thread used to hand sew the buckle and fixed keepers into place, and to sew the loose keeper ends together
• Buckle: 1¼in (32mm) ‘West End’ in solid brass
• Belt size in stock: 30+ inches*

*As a general rule of thumb, add 1-2 inches to your trouser size: this should give you your belt size. Example: 34 inch trousers = 36 inch belt. Please be aware that this doesn’t work for everyone, however, it is usually a very good starting point

The maximum size we can make from the butt cut of leather in this colour is usually belt size 48 inches (approx 46 inch trousers)
